In July of 2007, the base of Awake International and the Kinsley's moved from Abbotsford, British Columbia to Moravian Falls, North Carolina. Not knowing exact why God had brought him there, Craig continued to travel and minister, not knowing that God was about to dramatically shift his direction and vision. In August two dreams were shared with Craig. One from a friend, Ryan Wyatt, and one from Craig's close friend and mentor, Todd Bentley.  Both dreams were nearly exactly the same and both interpretations matched.  Craig and Lori were to plant and build an apostolic base with the foundation of a unique training center.  Upon hearing this and the witness in his spirit, Craig was both excited and a bit worried about how this would happen. The next week Craig had two angelic encounters that would change his life. In the first an angel walked up to Craig, just before he was about to preach, and opened an ancient book. As this angel blew from the book Craig heard the word "wisdom". 

Later that night, as he lay down to sleep, Craig began to receive the blueprints and vision for AwakeU and the apostolic base.  Later that week, feeling overwhelmed and inadequate, he went into prayer. Immediately Craig found himself deep in the presence of God.  After thirty-minutes in prayer, Craig opened his eyes.  To his amazement, he was no longer in his cabin, but outside in a field. From his left to his right and all around him, all he could see were stars. There were millions of stars. He looked to his left and saw an angel a few inches from his face. He immediately heard a voice, "Craig, look at the stars. So shall your sons an daughters be."  That night Craig received what he calls "apostolic grace".  As this grace was released into his life, he had a complete change of vision and gifting.  From that night and until and for the next few weeks, an outpouring of vision and favor rained down from Heaven. 

AwakeU is the first by-product of the blueprints and vision Craig received. The vision is for a unique internship/training center hybrid that is surrounded by the supernatural culture of Moravian Falls, NC.  AwakeU will be rooted and grounded in love.  Through this divine love, students will have their supernatural identity in Christ awakened and released. Through a combination of hands-on ministry training and practical biblical teaching, students will be equipped to display the Kingdom of God everywhere they go and in whatever avenue of life they are in.

AwakeU also promotes each person's creative spirit and encourages students to express their spiritual life through creative means such as art, music, entertainment and dance.  AwakeU also strongly believes in community.  The Church is not based on a worldy government or a corporate enterprise, but organic relationships. This kind of community is not planned or programmed, but is a by-product of God's love being poured out.

AwakeU has a strong emphasis on the power of Jesus Christ that enables us to live life outside the natural realm.  The very act of prayer is supernatural and this is the foundation of our belief.  Jesus Christ, as our heavenly Bridegroom, and our position as His Bride is the core value and belief of AwakeU.
