AwakeU 2009 Summer Semester

This year we are holding our first summer mini-semester of AwakeU.  The goal of the summer semester is to make AwakeU available to those that might either be in school during our normal semesters or may be able to give two months where they could not give 5 or 6.  For the summer semester, we are opening the application process to students in high school.  We believe that God is pouring out His spirit on all and as we always say, there is no junior Holy Spirit.

What will the summer semester be like?

Our summer semester will be even more intensive than our regular semester. Of course, you will reside in our intern residence here in Moravian Falls. Whether it be prayer, teaching, outreach, worship, or fellowship, summer interns will be doing the work of the ministry on a daily basis. Besides the time we have together, you will also be required to do extensive journaling and reading. The purpose of AwakeU is not simply to train you in ministry, but to awaken the purpose of God inside of you. This process cannot be taught, but it is a journey with God. We want to help in facilitating this journey. We have tried to keep the cost of the summer internship as low as possible. Due to this, at this time we are not planning on taking students on ministry trips that require air-travel. We are, although, planning more events here locally during that time. As with every semester, all expenses other than food and personal expenses will be covered in your tuition. We are really excited about this time and we hope to see you here!
