Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites to apply for AwakeU . Each applicant will be considered on an individual basis. We are looking for those that are hungry to experience more of God and have passion for Jesus Christ. We are looking for both those looking to launch into “full-time” ministry and those desiring to advance God’s Kingdom in the marketplace and other industries of the world.

Dates?
In 2010, there will be three semesters. The first semester will span about 5 months.  The second "AwakeU Summer" semester is geared towards college and mature high-school students, and will last two months. (Does not include traveling) The third semester will also be 5 months.  As has been the case with all previous semesters, many interns decide to stay in Moravian Falls past their internship in order to plug into the community and further pursue their call in God. If you desire to do more than one of the internships, you are also invited to do so.  We will gear your second semester to helping you understand, in a deeper way, your God-given calling.

Winter/Spring Semester: January 11 – May 24
AwakeU Summer Semester: June 01 - July 27
Fall/Winter Semester: August 02 - December 13

Where will I be staying?
Interns will reside in Moravian Falls, North Carolina. Lodging will be provided.

What about transportation?
Only ministry transportation is provided. If you are able to drive, it is
recommended. If you are unable to, other interns will probably be able to help with transportation.

Do I need a student Visa?
No.  A student visa, for international students, will not be needed. However, depending on the country you are traveling from, we will need to talk with you on an individual basis. We will do everything we can to help make it work.

Cost? $5900 USD for the 5 month semesters. $1800 USD for summer semester

Do I need a passport?
Yes. Please arrange for your passport in a timely manner. At times it can take a month or more. (You will NOT need a passport for the summer semester)

When is the application cut off date?
Winter/Spring Semester: December 01, 2008
Summer Semester: May 15, 2009
Fall/Winter Semester: July 01, 2009

How will I know if I have been accepted?
All of those accepted into the program will be notified within a timely manner of receiving the application package.

What the tuition includes: all living, traveling and ministry expenses. You will be required to take care of food and other personal expenses. A large portion of the tuition is used on the ministry trips: air travel, transportation and lodging. We have budgeted AwakeU very carefully and as cost effective as possible.

* For US citizens: You will have time to hold a part-time job in the area if you should desire.
